Wester Ross in the Scottish Highlands
Wester Ross is the jewel in the crown of Scotland, well in my humble opinion it is the most beautiful area of Scotland. It has it all, mountains, scenery that will awe and inspire you and places that are still remote enough to be mysterious and romantic. You have heard of romantic Scotland well I can tell you Wester Ross is that place, in my heart at least.

The area of Wester Ross covers covers an area from Strathcarron to Achiltibuie and on this journey you will possibly visit Gairloch, Poolewe and Dundonnell. There is is many other small communities within Wester Ross and they allow you to discover the true meaning of the Scottish Highlands with places to visit include Loch Maree, one of the most beautiful lochs in Scotland.
Each community in Wester Ross has something to offer the visitor to Scotland and all offer hidden jems for tourists to discover. The magic of the highlands is simply that you can be the first person to walk on a beach in the morning. You feel as if you are the only person in the world to have stood in this unspoilt place and it gives you an inner peace.
Another magical moment is when you see your first eagle flying overhead or observe an otter playing in the water. One thing to suggest is to bring with you a pair of binoculars as these really give you a close up experience of wild Scotland and the nature that surrounds us in Wester Ross.
